Funmilayo ARETE Charity Healthcare Initiative (FACHI) is a registered nonprofit organization based in Nigeria, and also registered as Arete Global Health Initiative (AGHI), Kotu,The Gambia, committed to improving healthcare outcomes and accessibility across communities. Established with a vision to transform the healthcare landscape, The consortium operates with the core belief that every individual deserves access to quality health services, regardless of their circumstances.

Our organization is driven by a multidisciplinary team of professionals with over 14 years of experience in various aspects of healthcare, including project monitoring and evaluation, implementation research, education, and emergency response. This diverse expertise equips us to address complex health challenges effectively and deliver impactful solutions tailored to the needs of the communities we serve.

At FACHI and AGHI, we focus on several key areas:

  • Health System Strengthening: We work to enhance the capacity and resilience of health systems, ensuring they can effectively respond to the needs of the population.
  • Immunization and Vaccination Programs: We provide technical support to the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to increase immunization coverage and protect communities from preventable diseases.
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response: We collaborate with organizations like the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control to develop and implement strategies that prepare health systems for emergencies and outbreaks.
  • Capacity Building and Training: We empower healthcare professionals and institutions through training and resources that enhance their skills and capabilities.

FACHI and AGHI's consortium is dedicated to fostering partnerships with government agencies, international organizations, and local communities to create sustainable health interventions. Our current projects, such as the Demand Side Incentives Evaluation Project and the Supply Chain Professionalization Framework in South Sudan, exemplify our commitment to evidence-based practices and innovative solutions.

Current Projects

  1. Expanded Programs on Immunization: FACHI and AGHI' consortium is actively engaged in providing technical support to the Ministry of Health in Nigeria, focusing on immunization and vaccination initiatives. This project aims to enhance vaccination coverage, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive essential vaccines to prevent disease outbreaks.
  2. Emergency Preparedness and Response: In collaboration with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), FACHI supports emergency preparedness and response strategies. This project aims to strengthen the capacity of health systems to respond effectively to health emergencies, including disease outbreaks and natural disasters.
  3. Demand Side Incentives Evaluation Project: FACHI and AGHI serves as the technical lead for the Demand Side Incentives Evaluation Project, a GAVI-funded initiative worth over $330,000. This project, running from November 2024 to December 2025, involves a consortium with CHEDCOM, focusing on evaluating demand-side strategies for immunization in three countries: Lesotho, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Cameroon.
  4. South Sudan Project: FACHI and AGHI's is part of a consortium with QualiMED, CMCOMMS, and PIS, tasked with evaluating the implementation of supply chain professionalization in South Sudan on behalf of UNICEF and ptD. This project, valued at $50,000 and scheduled from December 2024 to March 2025, aims to develop an implementation framework and project charter for the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Professionalization Framework in South Sudan. FACHI's overarching objective is to develop an implementation framework and project charter for the SCM Professionalization Framework in South Sudan. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes in healthcare, ultimately improving access to essential medicines and healthcare services.
